Plan Expo and Ireland’s leading carbon consultancy, EmissionZero, join forces to address the environmental impact of Ireland’s leading Showcase for the Built Environment

Plan Expo will be held on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd November 2010 at The Convention Centre Dublin, scheduled to open in September 2010. The organisers of the event have committed to ensuring it is a Carbon Neutral one and have recruited the help of EmissionZero to do so.
EmissionZero, also environmental partners to The CCD will work with the organisers on bringing the event to Carbon Neutral status by assessing the event’s Carbon Footprint and helping organisers to develop a Carbon Reduction Strategy.
Plan Expo has already made some significant strides in improving their environmental footprint by choosing The CCD to host their event. The CCD is the World’s first Carbon Neutral Convention Centre and so shares their commitment for long-term sustainability.

Irish Businesses urge Government to develop the Green Economy

Some of Ireland's top business leaders have urged the Government to develop the Green Economy using the State's €17 billion annual procurement spend.
CEOs and managing directors of companies including - Ecocem, Siemens Ireland, Airtricity, Glen Dimplex and Bord Gáis - have signed up to 'Green for Growth' - a coalition calling for the state to commit to buying greener goods and services to keep Ireland competitive domestically and internationally.
An Open Letter has been sent to the Government to put pressure on the Department of the Environment to develop ambitious and robust Green Procurement guidelines in advance of a Conference being held on the 21st May.
EmissionZero Networking Evening

On Thursday 15th April, EmissionZero, Ireland's premier Carbon Consultancy, held a Networking Evening for our clients and other associates.
The thinking behind holding this event was to enable our guests to share their ideas and experiences around developing Carbon Reduction Strategies but also to allow them to develop new partnerships and synergies of their own.
The event was held in The Sycamore Club in Temple Bar and all those who attended received a free corporate membership for the club.
The evening was a huge success with all guests stating what a useful event it had been for them. So much so that there is now demand for EmissionZero to host another event soon....so watch this space!!

Trim 2025 Launch with Carbon Neutral concert in association with EmissionZero

Trim 2025 is a community initiative which aims to assist institutions and individuals in Trim to commit to being Carbon Neutral by 2025.
This initiative was launched in December in Trim GAA Club; the highlight of which was a Carbon Neutral concert featuring The Magic Numbers and various other artists.
The emissions of the concert were offset by EmissionZero and pictured here at the launch are Martin Tighe (Trim 2025 organiser) and Elodie Grouselle (EmissionZero). Picture by Danny O'Brien.
